Warby Parker

I read about Warby Parker over a year ago in one of my Lucky Magazines and ordered glasses. Those glasses are now near and dear to my heart and I get compliments every time I wear them [which is not much since I rely heavily on my contacts]. The "home try-on" process took a bit because I caught them at the beginning of the whirlwind demand they have been experiencing since, but it was absolutely worth it. First off, if you are not familiar with Warby Parker [which is damn near impossible with them being plastered all over blogs and magazines], they offer plastic framed glasses with prescription lenses for $95...that's right $95 for both. AND if you just want the amazingly cute pair of frames they're $85.

Now if you've ever had to withstand the horribly annoying process of picking out glasses at your doctor's office then you understand why after looking at so many "trendy" [word used by eye specialist for shit I would never touch, let alone try on] pairs you get frustrated and end up getting a pair that is retardedly expensive that you never want to wear. Well, I received my Langston glasses from WP and have never been happier.

My beauts

This wasn't just a WP glasses promotional post....I received an e-mail from the company about the launch of their new sunglass line! They're supposed to be launched at the end of June and I can't wait! Same deal with prices so far, but I'll keep checking it out. I desperately want the tortoise shell ones below-they will be mine.

[sidenote-if you're one of those people that loves when a company does great things (i.e. toms) then take comfort in the fact that WP runs a program similar called Buy a Pair, Get a Pair]
